A facilitator, not a clinician
I am a trauma-informed breathwork facilitator. I am not a doctor, therapist, psychologist, or licensed healthcare provider. Nothing I offer is medical, psychological, or psychiatric care, and nothing on this website or in my sessions is a diagnosis, treatment, or substitute for professional care.
No specific result is promised. Breathwork can be deeply supportive, and every person’s experience is different. I will never claim that this work cures or resolves any condition.
When breathwork is not recommended
Breathwork can create strong physical and emotional responses, so it is not recommended if any of the following apply to you, unless your doctor has cleared you and we have talked it through first:
Physical health
Pregnancy
Epilepsy or seizures, including a family history of either
Heart or circulatory conditions, including angina, a past heart attack, high blood pressure, or aneurysm
Glaucoma or retinal detachment
Osteoporosis
A recent injury, surgery, or illness, especially involving the head, face, throat, chest, lungs, ribs, spine, neck, thyroid, immune or lymphatic system, or reproductive organs
Asthma or other breathing conditions
Mental and emotional health
A history of mental illness or personality disorders
Past hospitalization for a psychiatric condition or emotional crisis
Current or past suicidal thoughts
Psychosis
Drug or alcohol addiction
If you are unsure whether something applies to you, please ask your doctor and tell me before we begin. Gentler restorative practices may still be possible in some cases, and that decision is always made together and with care.
What you may feel
It is normal for breathwork to bring up sensations and emotions. You may notice dizziness or lightheadedness, tingling, changes in body temperature, temporary cramping or tightness in the hands, feet, or face, disorientation, or waves of emotion. Fainting is rare but possible. You may also feel tender, open, or emotionally vulnerable during and after a session. These responses usually pass as you return to a natural breath, and I will guide you through them.
What a session may include
Sessions may include guided breathing, meditation, vocal toning, tapping, energy work, and integration conversation. Optional touch for grounding is only ever offered with your clear permission, which you can decline or withdraw at any moment.
Free practices
My free videos, audio, and guided practices are offered for general wellbeing only. You practice them at your own discretion and risk. Never practice while driving, in or near water, or anywhere it would be unsafe to feel lightheaded. If you feel dizziness, pain, or distress, stop, return to your natural breath, and rest.
If you are in crisis
Breathwork is not crisis support. If you are in danger or thinking about harming yourself, call 911 or call or text 988 to reach the Suicide and Crisis Lifeline in the United States.
Your responsibility
By practicing with me or using my free practices, you accept responsibility for your own health and choices, and you agree to stop and seek appropriate care whenever you need it.
